about BeMindKind...
BeMindKind offers thoughtful, structured support for children and teens who may be struggling with big feelings, anxiety or low confidence - or who would simply benefit from learning
how to better understand and manage their emotions.
What makes BeMindKind different is the way support is delivered.

By integrating psychotherapy, counselling, mindfulness and creative arts, BeMindKind offers a warm, welcoming space where children feel safe, understood and supported - while also feeling engaged, connected and comfortable being themselves.
Young people are taught practical life-long skills to regulate
their body and mind, build resilience and grow in confidence.

what happens in a session?
Every child is different, so sessions are tailored to the individual.
Some families choose one-to-one support as and when needed. However, the heart of the work at BeMindKind is a structured 12-week programme.

Why? Because learning how to calm a busy mind, understand big feelings and build emotional resilience takes time. It isn’t something young people pick up in one or two sessions.
Across the 12 weeks, children are taught practical tools to regulate their body and mind, how to recognise what they’re feeling and how to manage those feelings more confidently.
They have the chance to practise, reflect and build understanding step by step - growing in confidence and feeling more secure in who they are.
It’s about giving them the skills - and the time - to really learn them.

a little about me...
I’m Sharon.
For over 20 years, I’ve worked closely with children and young people - supporting them in growing confidence and self-esteem.
I originally trained and worked as an actor and dancer before moving into coaching and later co-founding and co-running Verve Academy of Performing Arts with my husband. My work has always centred around helping children feel seen, capable and confident.
Alongside this, I trained as a psychotherapist, counsellor and creative mindfulness practitioner so I could offer deeper emotional support when I began to see how much it was needed.
BeMindKind brings together creativity and therapeutic practice in a way that genuinely connects.
I’m also a mum, and I understand how important it is to find support that feels safe and right for your child.

In my spare time, you’ll usually find me dancing in the kitchen with my family or out walking in the Peaks.
